Week 43

I only have about a month & a half to be ready for my 5 mile leg of my relay team... & I'm totally NOT ready. Yesterday I ran 2 intervals of 1 mile each. On a normal day I'd feel good about that, but knowing that it's not where I need to be gives me a little panic. So today's flashback is to remind me of what accomplishment feels like, to remind me of how hard I worked for that accomplishment, & my mantra "Pain is weakness LEAVING the body!".

This was my first race. A 5k in the dead of winter last year....

  1. I'd be lucky if I could run 10 feet. You can do it!

I'm going to finish my cake for breakfast now, lol!

  2. Awww!! Thats so awesome!! And I'm a little jealous! I was running 2 miles 3 times a week before the preggie got me:) You can do it!!

  3. You can totally do it! Seriously, 5 miles will fly by :) Love the sign, btw.

  4. ...all I have to say is (*and I apologize if this language is offensive to anyone*)...

  5. haha, amanda that's hilarious. I was going to leave an encouraging message but I think you said it all!!

lauren call me if you want to go for a jog soon because I can't seem to motivate myself. (maybe sunday after church?)

  6. I remember those pics! I so wish I could get out and run but post surgery, no can do. I need to get my ankle reconditioned...then maybe. I know you can do it!!

  7. Hiya, I noticed you stopped by my blog and I thought I would return the favour! Blimey, running five miles would be an amazing achievement. I don't believe in running because that is why cars were invented ;-)

    Good luck!

    P.S.I am following you now
