I was just reading about one of my blog-buddies who had a really scary day with a hurt pup & I couldn't help but cry with her. Her dog will be just fine, but it instantly brought back memories from a really scary day about 2 years ago when I was getting ready to go out & Natalie LICKED NAIR off my leg & I thought I had killed her. Oh.. my.. gosh.. scariest day of my life. She was fine after a frantic call to the emergency vet & then animal poison control & staying up with her for the next 24 hours, but I wasn't quite as ok. The only thing that really calmed me down was my Mom telling me about the time she had to call poison control for me as a toddler.
I know some people don't understand people's connection with pets, but Natalie is my baby. I don't know what I would have done if she wasn't alright... but these things just happen & it's not my fault or anyone's fault. It took me a little while to believe that. Needless to say she got SO MANY kisses that day & I'm sure I spoil her rotten with more love than any chihuahua deserves... but hey, I'm a puppy-Momma. That's what I do.

Oh My gosh your dog is SO cute!!! I had to call call poison control once when my son was little we were in the bathroom - I was right next to him - I turned around for a second & he took a sip of Listerine? He was fine - they told me that he would of had to drink a large amount to get sick . . . anyway it was a very scary time! I feel ya'!
